Delete your Facebook data from Xavria

Last updated:

If you connected a Facebook Page or an Instagram account to Xavria with Continue with Facebook, this page explains how to remove Xavria from your Facebook account, what we delete, and when. Questions: privacy@xavria.com.

1. Remove Xavria from Facebook #

  1. On Facebook, open Settings and privacy, then Settings.
  2. Open Business integrations (in some versions of Facebook it is under Apps and websites).
  3. Find Xavria, tick it, and press Remove.
  4. To have your data deleted too, tick the option to delete what Xavria may have received, or send the data deletion request Facebook offers. Facebook tells us, and gives you a confirmation code and a link where you can check the request.

Removing Xavria stops your agent from answering your Page and your Instagram messages. In Xavria, the Facebook card on the Channels page turns amber and offers Reconnect Facebook, in case it was a mistake.

2. What we delete #

When you remove Xavria from Facebook, we delete the Facebook access Xavria held for your Page (the access token Facebook gave us). When you ask for your data to be deleted, we also delete your Facebook user id and any sign-in with Facebook you had not finished.

We never stored your Facebook password, your friends, your posts or anything else from your personal Facebook account.

What stays: the messages customers sent to a business's Page or Instagram account belong to that business. They stay in its Xavria Inbox, as its own records, until the business deletes them or closes its account (see our Privacy Policy). If you messaged a business and want your messages deleted, ask that business; we will help them.

3. When #

At once. When Facebook tells us you removed Xavria or asked for deletion, we delete the data above in the same moment, and the link Facebook gives you shows the request as completed.

4. Other ways to ask #

An owner can also disconnect Facebook in Xavria at any time: Channels, Facebook Messenger, Advanced, Disconnect. This deletes the Page's access token straight away.

Or write to privacy@xavria.com from the email address of your Xavria account, or with the Facebook Page's name, and we will delete it for you within 30 days and tell you when it is done.
